Atlantic Painting Systems, Inc. is a local paint contracting company. APS, Inc. was started in March 2004 by Bill Farmer with just a handful of loyal clients. After completing hundreds of painting projects, the company still does all the painting for that first handful of loyal clients.
Bill Farmer got his start in the painting industry as a sales representative for a paint manufacturer. After 3 years in the supply side of the painting industy, Bill was offered a position as the Executive Vice President of a large state wide paint contracting company. After three years as Executive V.P. he decided it was time to start his own paint contracting company, Atlantic Painting Systems, Inc. APS, Inc. was started with the belief that potential clients wanted a painting contractor that did what they said they were going to do, showed up when they said they would and took pride in the kind of work they produced. Bill often says "we're not the cheapest, but no one will do a better job for the price. In fact, no one will give you a greater painting value than we will."
R.W. Farmer, Bill's grandfather, first settled in the West Palm Beach area in the 1920's and started the plumbing supply business R.W. Farmer Supply Company. Bill's father Bill Sr. retired in 1985 after selling R.W. Farmer Supply Company (located on Old Okeechobee Road) to Ferguson Enterprises. Bill and his family have lived in the West Palm Beach area their entire lives.
Bill Farmer is a Founding Member of the Florida Painting Contractors Association and currently serves as the association Vice-President. He is also a former two term Past President (2004 & 2005) of the Palm Beach County PDCA (Painting & Decorating Contractors of America) and a Past President of the Florida State PDCA (2005/2006). Bill is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Popp Woods Foundation. The foundation provides scholarships to present and future college students. Available to any student who applies, the fund was originally set up to financially help the kids of journeyman and apprentice painters.
